Accessibility Statement for Idea Robotics

Last updated: February 9, 2026 (update on H1 tags and alternative texts)

Introduction

Idea Robotics S.r.l. (hereinafter “Idea Robotics”) is committed to designing and maintaining its corporate website https://www.idearobotics.it so that it is accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. In line with Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act – EAA), the Italian AgID national guidelines, and the European standard EN 301 549, we work towards compliance with the WCAG 2.2 Level AA criteria. The EAA became applicable on June 28, 2025 and requires economic operators providing certain digital products or services to ensure accessibility. If any unresolved accessibility issues arise, you may contact us using the details provided below.

General description of the service

Idea Robotics is a corporate showcase website dedicated to presenting the company and promoting its engineering, industrial automation, and robotics services. The website provides information about the company (the “About Us” section), its services and solutions, its working method, news and press releases, and includes a contact form. It is not an e-commerce website: users cannot purchase products or services online.

How to use the website (Accessibility and functionality)

  • Navigation: the main menu at the top of each page provides direct access to the Home, About Us, Services, Solutions, Method, News, and Contacts sections. Use the Tab key to move between links and buttons; press Enter to activate the selected element. A “Skip to content” link is available at the first focusable element on each page.
  • Focus and indicators: all interactive elements have a visible focus indicator; links are highlighted and can be underlined via the accessibility widget.
  • Screen reader compatibility: the HTML code uses semantic elements (such as <header>, <nav>, <main>, and <footer>). The Iubenda accessibility widget adds appropriate ARIA attributes and roles to improve screen reader navigation. Relevant images include descriptive alternative text.
  • Contrast and text size: by clicking the green icon at the bottom of the page, users can open the accessibility widget to adjust font size, spacing, color contrast, and enable high-contrast or grayscale modes.
  • Forms and contact: forms (such as the Contact Us form) include clear labels, instructions, and contextual error messages. Required fields are clearly marked.

Compliance status

The website is partially compliant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. Most pages and components have been designed and developed according to the guidelines; however, some limitations have been identified and are being progressively addressed:

February 2026 update: following a website audit and subsequent corrections, Idea Robotics reviewed and adjusted the use of H1 tags (now only one H1 per page) and improved image alternative texts to make them more descriptive. These improvements enhance the site’s semantic structure and facilitate navigation with screen readers. Ongoing checks are being carried out to ensure that no generic or duplicate alternative texts remain.

  • Some third-party embedded videos (e.g., YouTube) may not include complete subtitles or transcripts.
  • Certain dynamic sections of the website may not fully meet the minimum contrast requirements or may not be perfectly navigable using only the keyboard.

We continuously work to identify and remove these barriers, using both automated monitoring tools and manual testing with screen readers.

Technologies used by the website

The Idea Robotics website is built with WordPress and uses HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript. It is optimized for use with major browsers (Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge) in their latest versions. Testing has been conducted with major screen readers (NVDA for Windows, VoiceOver for macOS and iOS). To enhance accessibility, the website integrates the Iubenda accessibility widget, which allows users to customize display settings and receive navigation support.

Methods adopted to ensure accessibility

  • Inclusive design and development: we follow the WCAG 2.2 AA guidelines and the European standard EN 301 549 during website design and development.
  • Staff training: the technical and editorial teams regularly attend training on usability and accessibility.
  • Periodic reviews: the website is regularly tested (both automated and manual internal and external assessments) to identify and resolve potential issues. We document review activities and update this statement when necessary.
  • Accessibility widget: integration of the Iubenda widget allows users to tailor their experience; its default statement confirms the commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA compliance.

Non-compliant or exempt content

The website may contain content that is not fully compliant or falls under regulatory exemptions:

  • Third-party content: embedded content (e.g., social feeds, Google Maps, YouTube videos) is not developed or managed by Idea Robotics; therefore, full EAA compliance cannot be guaranteed.
  • Archived content: files and documents published before June 2025, which are not essential for current website functions, may fall under archival content exemptions. Nevertheless, we strive to make recent documents accessible.
